Project Empower Re-Entry

Eli Vasquez, Jessica Shaw, Glen Beasley, Cristina Almeda, Kwani Chin & Kat Opina

Project Empower Re-Entry helps individuals leaving incarceration take their first steps toward stability, dignity, and belonging. The project provides resource kits that connect people to basic needs, community support, and hope as they re-enter society.

Project Empower Re-Entry offers tangible support and a message of empowerment: You matter. You belong. You have a future.

The transition from incarceration to community life is one of the most vulnerable points in a person’s journey. Many leave correctional facilities without essentials like identification, transportation, or housing connections, making it far too easy to fall back into crisis. This project will help create a community where every person reentering society is met with respect, equipped with the resources they need, and empowered to build a secure, connected, and fulfilling life beyond incarceration.
