About this Event
Snohomish County Council Member Sam Low represents east Snohomish County basically along the Highway 2 corridor. Sam and his wife Mariah are both born and raised here in Snohomish County. Sam is a graduate of Everett High and Mariah from Snohomish High. He has a BA in Theology and a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership. Previously, Sam was a small business owner before being elected to the Lake Stevens City Council where he served as Council President and Chair of the County Health District. Sam believes strongly in community service and is a member of the Lake Stevens Rotary Club where he served as President of his local club in 2016-2017. For the past 8 years Sam has funded a $1,000 scholarship each year through his local Rotary Club for a graduating high school senior.
On the County Council, Sam was a key vote to allow commercial air service at Paine Field. In addition, he led the efforts to make WATV’s legal in east county; worked with Executive Somers to reestablish latex paint recycling and most recently pushed for the electric vehicle pilot program for the County Sheriff’s office for traffic enforcement. With 2 dogs (a Golden Retriever & Silver Lab) and 5 kids, one a teacher, two in college, and two in high school there is never a dull moment in the Low family.
